Bye Bye to the Old, and Hello to Something New

Wednesday, March 9th was our last night at the Landmark. 69 players turned up and got turnt up on some trivia. Wabbits Weaving Wandmark grabbed the lead early on, but only could end up in 3rd by the end of it all. Don't Bro Me if You Don't Know Me made a valiant push for the win, but came up short. Trump's Tiny Hand Job grasped the win on the night. However, the jackpot slipped through their fingers and so the jackpot will start building.

Next week, we move to our new location - the Santa Fe Basque. If you don't, it's on Maroa, just south of Shields. The best way to get there is from the south. The address is 3110 N Maroa. If you want to check out their website, click here http://www.santafebasque.com/

As always, we start registration at 7:15, game at 8. $5 a person, teams of 1-6 people.

We Don't Have Census Results for China

Last Wednesday we announced that Fresno Pub Quiz is moving, and it's true. Next Wednesday, March 9, will be our last night at the Landmark. Starting on March 16 we will have Fresno Pub Quiz at the Santa Fe Basque. They are located at 3110 N Maroa (that's Maroa & Shields, just south of the Shell station with the great beer selection). If you want to check out their website, click here http://www.santafebasque.com/

Last week's match was a fun one, and teams scored nicely for a week 1 of a jackpot. However, 1 team rose up above to make Pub Quiz great again. They took two rounds, and were in tie breakers for the other two rounds. "China has a Wall, and They Have Almost No Mexicans" - Donald Trump...Probably was our winner on the night. And, they made their wallets great by sagging that jackpot chip. Alana is Satan was second place on the night, and congrats to them on the consistency.

Remember, we'll see you next Wednesday at the Landmark, and then at Santa Fe Basque on the 16th.

No License Required

Last week on The Walking Dead, Rick et al went HAM on some zombies. At Pub Quiz, you all did a pretty good job against a surprisingly tough week 1. The 18 Year Old Gynecologist also was strong on the night, taking round 1 with a 9.5 and round 4 with a 10. That's a pretty good way to win Pub Quiz. However, their inspection of the jackpot chips wasn't as conclusive, and they didn't win that. That jackpot will keep growing.

Come on down to the Landmark and take your shot. As always, teams of 1-6, $5 a person.

You Have the Right Code

It was 50/50 odds on the jackpot and as we stepped our game, you all responded rather well. FKA Riker took a round, We're Number 2, We're Still Shitty took a round, but Domo Arigato, Rubio Roboto was the class on the night, taking 2 rounds, the win, and the jackpot. Congrats to them and their programmers. That means next week our jackpot starts fresh. Take your shot at an easy 'pot.

We need to encourage you to use the round winner tokens. They're only good on Wednesday, and there is a limited supply. If we want the Landmark to keep using them, we need to keep them in circulation. If you win one and aren't going to use it any time soon, we encourage you share the love with a fellow player in the room.

Lots of Caucuses

Once again thirteen teams tested themselves against each other and your Pub Quiz hosts on a Wednesday evening at the Landmark. And one team showed they were more than up for the test. Caucus? You Don't Even Know us scored perfect ten's in rounds one and two, and lost round 3 with a nine in our time tie breaker. They did enough in round four to hold off the competition, and finished with a very good score of 34 points. Hard to beat that. Several of the top teams were in the mix, but that team was above the rest. However, they weren't lucky enough to pull the jackpot, so next week it will be 50/50 odds on the jackpot pull.

We hope you'll join us for another great game of Pub Quiz next Wednesday. And if you're looking for a game before that, we recommend Sequoia North Pub Quiz on Monday night.
