Who? Gasms.

We had a good turnout this last week, and we're thankful for all of you that play.  We're also thankful that some of you brought your out of town friends or family to play.  It was a fun night, with four different round winners.  The first three round winners all put up 9 points in their round win!  By the end of night, We're Still Recovering from our Multiple Who-gasms was the winner.  However, the didn't pull the jackpot chip, so next week there will be 1 in 3 odds.

The randomly chosen team for topics for next week was Hold Me Closer, Tony Danza.  A little side note, this team was almost entirely made up of people visiting for the holiday.  Here's the topics they chose for you to stufy for next week's round 2:
Irish History
Dubstep
Star Trek Voyager
Conspiracy Theories
Hyper Shapes
Colorado
Australia
Show Tunes
Suspension Bridges
Uma Thurman
Planned Parenthood
Non Alcoholic Beverages
Famous Tattoos
Flight of the Conchords (show)

We hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend. Spend time with family and friends and we'll see you next Wednesday at Pub Quiz.

Spoiler Altert: Still Dominant

Your Pub Quiz hosts love close games and rounds won by different teams.  We had a close game for the first couple of rounds this last week, and each round was won by a different team.  Spoiler Alert: Bill O'Reilly's Book Reveals that Obama Killed Jesus remained dominant in the end and won the night.  It was the first week of the jackpot, and Spoiler Alert didn't pull the lucky chip.

This week was also the first week where the winning team can't be chosen for topics, and It's Automatic, It's Systematic, It's Hydromatic, Why It's Greased Riker was the lucky team chosen for round 2 topics.  Here's what you should study:
Grease (the movie)
Narcolepsy
Ralphisms - saying of Ralph Wiggum from the Simpsons
Cole Porter lyrics
Die Antwoord
Knitting
Animal Fibers
David Lynch movies
Chicago (the city)
Fresno Pub Quiz Team Names
US Space Program History
Puns
Hogan's Heroes
The Office (U.S. version)

Remember, next Wednesday is the day before Thanksgiving. Invite your out of town friends and family. Let's have a packed house at Pub Quiz.

Spoiler Alert, This Team is Good

It was a guaranteed jackpot night this week, and 14 teams gave it all that they had.  When it was all said and done, Spoiler Alert: Bill O'Reilly Is Not Actually a Veteran in the War on Christmas pulled out their big guns shot down the competition.  Congratulations on the jackpot, and next week we start building again.

Spoiler Alert drew their own chip, and here are the topics for next week's round 2:
Van Halen
NY Times Best Sellers
Cannabis Cup Winners
Ultimate Texas Hold Em
Bravest Warriors (cartoon)
San Joaquin Memorial
Light Reactions of Photosynthesis
Grand Theft Auto 5
Calvin Cycle

In other news, we're adding a few more wrinkles to the game.
Change #1- the winning team's chip will no longer be in the drawing for the following week's round 2.  We want to spread the topics around and we think this will help.
Change #2 - a second place prize!  That's right, when a jackpot is won, the team in second place will win $30.

Next Week Will Be a Jackpot Win!

Want to win Pub Quiz? Have a round where you get a 9 and another where you get a 9.5.  Unless you really monkey up the other two rounds, you're a shoe in for the win.  That's what Spoiler Alert: Being Named Incognito Doesn't Let You Hide did on the night.  When it came to the jackpot, it was 50/50 odds and they didn't pull the blue chip.  That's right, the jackpot rolled over to next week where it will be a guaranteed jackpot.

The team named for Roger Wahl was our random team picked to select topics for next week's round 2. Here's what they picked:
Ruby (programming language)
The Simpsons - from the 90's
Starcraft 2
UEFA Champions League
Sleepy Hollow (2013 tv show)
The Mindy Project
Bravest Warriors (cartoon)
Pop Punk Bands from the 90's

We hope you all had a fun night.  The game was close all night long, with The Ghost of Riker (the top team) spooking their way to a two point victory.  They didn't pull the jackpot chip, so next week the odds of winning are 50/50.

"Rules of the Internet"
Ender's Game (novel)

League of Legends (video game)
Life & Times of Hugo Boss
