Travis is a winner

It's Wednesday!

Last week, Travis Does the Fire Squids grabbed the bull by the horns early, and didn't let go. They quickly bombed the competition and ended up 4 points clear on the night. It wasn't a new high score, but 36 is definitely a strong finish. And their night ended up with even more joy as they pulled the jackpot chip. Congrats to them!

Tonight, we're back with a fresh jackpot. We have challenging questions prepared for you, some interesting song snippets, and some nice in between round music.

Last week, Travis, Pub Quiz's Neymar continued a little streak. They rolled over the competition for the second week in a row. But like Neymar, they couldn't win the big prize.

This week, it 1 blue and 2 red chips in the jackpot bag. Can your team take the title and maybe even the jackpot?

And now, the new Chamion...

We have been at this 8.5 years. We have never had a perfect game - 40 points & win all four rounds and jackpot. We've never had a 40. To the best of our records, we have only had 2 times where a team won all four rounds. For the longest time, our highest score ever was 38 points. Teams would get close, or look like they had a chance, but something would trip them up, and they would finish just shy.

Last week, a team put on quite the show, and really flexed on our questions. After all four rounds, they had done the near impossible, and set a new high score record: 38.5!

Congrats to Roseanne, You Don't Have to Join the Alt-Right. They had the right mix of knowledge to take three rounds, two of them at 10 points, one at 9.5. Round 2 was their worst, losing on a time tie breaker and scoring 8 points. What a game! Again, congrats to them. Perhaps their only slip up was not pulling the jackpot chip. Or, maybe it was strategy to take down a bigger jackpot this week?

Spuradic Update post

Last week was a pretty good one. Three teams won a round, one round went to the time tie breaker, and at the end of it all, The Cycle Bar...(the Non-Alcoholic One) and Alana is Satan were tied at the top. Alana is Satan won the tie breaker question, and then pulled the jackpot chip!

That means tonight is a fresh jackpot. Like a mighty wind, spring has blown into Pub Quiz. Bone up on things new and old, and we'll see you tonight at the Santa Fe Basque.

Going off half pipe

Last week was the first of a new jackpot, but that didn't stop you all from coming out and going after it. Eight teams squared off and played a close one. The Crisis Actors came up a little short to the Hungarian Halfhearted Half Pipe. The Half Pipers won, but didn't get the gold. This week the jackpot gets rolling.

As always, Wednesday night means we'll be at the Santa Fe Basque putting on some of the best trivia around.

They call me the streak

2018 has begun as a year of streaks at Fresno Pub Quiz. Alana is Satan shone bright for the first 3 weeks. In these last two weeks, Los Fluffernutters crunched the competition. But it's been a few weeks since that jackpot chip has been pulled. Tonight, it's a 50/50 chance for that to happen! Get your team together and see if you can either continue a trend, or start your own.

Twinsies

The streak is broken! Despite two teams using the name Alana is Satan, neither was able to keep that moniker from picking up its first loss of the year. There were two Fire Squids as well, and neither of those teams could snag the win, although one did end up in second place. There was only one Fluffernutters, and they were the cream of the crop. They won the game, but didn't pull the jackpot chip. That means tonight there will be 2 reds along with the jackpot chip.

It's A New Year, Why U No Pub Quiz

Hey, try out a new tradition or return to an old one with Pub Quiz.  We're back at the Santa Fe Basque on Wednesday.  The jackpot is building, and you've got to build yourself a fun team of smarties to win it.

No Moore

It's Wednesday, the weather is crisp, and Pub Quiz is in the air. Join us at the Santa Fe Basque for another great night of trivia, drinks and food. Oh yeah, and fun.

Last week, Roy Moore's School for Extraordinary Girls took two rounds and the win. But like the real person, they couldn't finish with the big prize. That mean's tonight's game is a 50/50 jackpot. Build a campaign that will help your team win tonight!

Last week, your quiz masters just about gauged the crowd right, and the winning team almost hit our target score for a winner - they were a half point above where we aim at 30.5. That team was This is Not a Lee Harvey and Jack Ruby Occasion. Although they were on target there, they missed the jackpot draw, so it's growing.

Thanksgiving Week

It's Thanksgiving week, and Fresno Pub Quiz is off this Wednesday. But thankfully, we've got friends that can help you out.

You Signed Up Like This

Last week's game didn't end up with another jackpot win, but it did end up with the same team winning. We Know What We Signed Up For switched up their name for the 3rd week in a row, and despite being trailing in 3rd place going into round 4, they jumped over the competition for the win. As mentioned before, they didn't win the jackpot though, and so that will begin to grow!

Winner, Winner, Two Times the Chicken Dinner

Over the last two Wednesdays, the same team ended up winning, and both weeks ended with them pulling the jackpot chip! One week they were Trump: The Quicker Fucker Upper, the next they were Harvey Weinstein Watched Us Shower, and regardless of the name, they were winners.

We should update this more often

If you're ever interested in a good story, ask Jay from Alana is Satan about their win and 2nd place finish percentages. He has meticulous notes on the subject. Last week, one of those numbers changed a little, as Alana is Satan won the first round and then managed to keep at least a share of the lead for the whole game and take the win. They didn't take that week 1 jackpot though, and so it begins to grow. And with 10 teams last week, it was a decent jackpot.

Tonight, there are 3 losing chips in the jackpot bag, along with the winning chip. Build yourself the best team, treat your self to a good meal or some great drinks, and take your best shot at the win!

Cheesey and wet, but not a jackpot winner.

Last Wednesday at Pub Quiz had 7 teams squaring off for quiz supremacy. (Can 7 teams = a square off?) We had some new teams, some old teams, some familiar teams. We had two rounds that were decided by the time tie breaker. And we had a team with a name that you will hate stay up at the top all night long. They didn't win all four rounds, but Moist Smegma oozed their way to the win. However, they didn't take home the cheese. That means, this week's jackpot is 50/50!
